The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its own. Kilo, 6, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by the office. A necropsy will be performed at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine to determine the cause of death.

Opelika’s residents may soon have another cable provider. The city of Opelika and Knology Inc. agreed on terms for a non-exclusive franchise agreement and pole attachment agreement, according to a Knology release Tuesday.
